Third Millennium Awakening

Third Millennium Awakening (TMA) is a nonprofit corporation founded by Hard Light Director, Mark Griffin. While traveling in India, Mark and other Hard Light members witnessed the terrible hunger, poverty, and disease in the countryside. Upon returning to the states, Mark spearheaded the formation of TMA to provide basic educational, medical, and agricultural support to impoverished regions of the world. TMA targeted the native tribal groups in and around Ganeshpuri, India for its first projects.

These aboriginal tribes, the Adivasis, are among the poorest of the poor with their children frequently lacking access to education. They are socially and economically on the lowest rungs of the development ladder, caught in a vicious circle of poverty, indebtedness, and bonded labor.

Thanks to its many supporters, TMA’s work in Ganeshpuri flourished during 2006 and 2007. A water purification project expanded beyond early expectations and contributions to an Adivasi Ashram School continued on a steady basis. A pilot program to feed the hungry of Ganeshpuri was successfully completed last December, and TMA is considering various options in resuming the project. Thanks to a generous donor, a well will be drilled for the Adivasi School in the fall after monsoon season is over.

Other projects in progress include purchasing sewing machines for a technical school, starting a pilot test crop program, and finding a permanent home for TMA in Ganeshpuri. Learn more about TMA’s exciting work in India by visiting www.TMASeva.com.

With old projects expanding and new projects emerging, there is much to be done in Ganeshpuri. To continue this work, TMA needs your help. You can make a tax-free donation on the TMA website at www.TMASeva.com.
