If you are serious about learning to recite the Guru Gita in Sanskrit, we're here to make that easy for you.  You may find that the recording of the Sanskrit recitation goes too quickly to be able to listen to and also try to simultaneously pronounce some of those tongue-twisting and unfamiliar words.  If so, we invite you to join this ongoing one year course of study.

You will receive a password to a private web site, where each verse is highlighted syllable by syllable, in a manner specifically designed so you can follow along and practice each and every syllable until you have mastered it.  (Please allow 24 hours for your password to arrive).  The entire course provides you with 1,441 individual sound samples of short, easy-to-master phrases.  In addition, you also get a podcast subscription so you can put each verse on your iTunes or iPod and listen to it on the go, or work it individually at your own pace.  You also are provided with flash cards of each verse you can print at home.

In these interactive lessons, you listen to a word, syllable or short phrase of the Sanskrit - then there is time for you to repeat the phrase out loud yourself.  Then you listen to it again, and repeat it again.  Like this, you gradually build up until you have mastered the entire verse.

Focusing in this way on nine verses a month, means you can do a verse every 3-4 days with an in-depth study, and build up real proficiency in your recitation.  And with proficiency and ease, comes the ability to sink deeply into the spiritual power of the chant.  The power of the Sanskrit comes from the effect of the language - so the more precise one's pronunciation can be, the more deeply the effect of the mantric-value of the language will be felt.

Taking on nine verses a month for twelve months will bring you to completion of all 108 verses of the Guru Gita - a great accomplishment.
