The Four Attentions

This is the Intensive of April 17, 2010.  Mark talks about how most of us walk around our entire lives held entirely to the realm of First Attention, not even realizing that other levels of attention exist.  He describes each one, and then beautifully lays out how meditation irresistibly moves us into the higher realms of attention.  He also speaks about how the ego fights to keep us from attaining these higher states, and the value of continuous application of meditation to overcome the natural barriers the ego will put up.  There is also an interesting topic Mark raises about why meditation is so unpopular in our western society.
