In spiritual training the Bodhicitta is understood to be the Heart-Mind. It is the repository of Enlightenment within us and the wellspring from which pure love, understanding and compassion can spontaneously flow. For so much of our life we seldom if ever pay attention to this source of vast richness within. In this meditation Mark Griffin encourages us to do so, and at the same time shows us why the Bodhicitta is so important to us and to the path of Awakening. His inspiring message is 21 minutes long and is followed by 58 minutes of gentle music, allowing for an extended session of meditation. This is the first in the Bodhicitta series and gives an overview of what the Bodhicitta is, as well as bringing inspiration as to why it should be studied and meditated upon.
