The Joshua Tree Retreat Conference and Wellness Retreat site is a sanctuary located just 5 miles from the gateway of Joshua Tree National Park. It is known as "a jewel in the desert, a gem for those seekers of serenity and health". The retreat was founded in 1941 as a place for peace and meditation, with sweeping vistas of desert, mountains and centuries of Joshua Trees. The Palm Springs Airport is 35 minutes away, and the Orange County Airport is 90 minutes away.

We will be staying in the Caravansary Building, which was designed by architect Lloyd Wright, son of the famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright, featuring small but cozy rooms with grand vistas of the desert. Most rooms hold 3-4 people and have shared baths. Many rooms have beautiful rustic native stone fireplaces (that we're sure not to need). We will have our own dining room in the immediately adjoining building of Friendship Hall.

Another special feature of the retreat site is its proximity to 15 naturally occurring vortices on the property and adjoining area. To see more about these, click here.

"Our life is made spiritual to the extent we engage and align ourselves with the genuine and direct presence of Spirit. Not in any vague religious sense of codified behavior, but rather in the true opening and integration of Being. We gain a connection and understanding of the deep underlying aggregate of consciousness systems known as the Soul. In this way we forge a pathway between the deep subtle impulses which are the “speech “of the Soul, and the vivid living edge of perception and Life expression. To truly act from a position of Love, not fear. To be genuinely creative in our approach to life and action in all its formations. TO AWAKEN. This is meditation, no fairy tales, no promises of heaven, just brisk, vigorous, clarity of life energized by the direct presence of the Self. In this way we embrace the Dharma of profound awakening, education, and inner healing. In this way we learn to become truly Human." ~ Mark Griffin
